This role is ideal for welders who enjoy challenging pipe work and take pride in producing welds that pass inspection the first time.

What You'll Do

• Perform precision GTAW (TIG) welding on stainless steel process piping.
• Complete open-root butt welds on Schedule 10 through Schedule 160 pipe.
• Execute 6G welds on fixed-position pipe in all welding positions.
• Use proper fit-up, beveling, joint preparation, and root spacing techniques.
• Perform back purging using inert gas to ensure clean, contamination-free root passes.
• Produce full-penetration welds for critical and high-pressure applications.
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, weld maps, and welding symbols.
• Set up and operate TIG equipment rated at 200 amps or greater.
• Utilize MIG and Flux Core processes when project requirements dictate.
• Verify fit-up, alignment, and weld quality using measuring and inspection tools.
• Contribute to projects involving:
  • Stainless process piping
  • Industrial piping systems
  • Fabricated stairs and platforms
  • Ladders and structural components
  • Custom fabrication projects
• Maintain the highest standards of safety, workmanship, and productivity.

The Welder We're Looking ForRequired Experience

• 3–5+ years of TIG welding experience.
• Strong background welding stainless steel process piping.
• Demonstrated expertise in 6G pipe welding.
• Proven ability performing open-root stainless steel welds.
• Experience with Schedule 10 through Schedule 160 pipe.
• Knowledge of back purging techniques for stainless applications.
• Ability to read technical drawings and welding symbols.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Schedule

• First Shift
• 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Five 10-hour days per week
• Minimum 50-hour work weeks
• 10–20 hours of overtime regularly available
• Weekend work rarely required

• Precision layout and fit-up tools
• Levels, squares, tape measures, and alignment tools

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $40.00/hr.
