Electrical CAD Designer

A leading engineering solutions company is seeking an Electrical CAD Designer to support design for client projects. The ideal candidate is a technically skilled designer with strong AutoCAD Electrical proficiency and excellent communication skills. The role involves developing accurate drawings while collaborating with engineering, suppliers, and customers. Salary + Additional Benefits: $30-45/hr Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance Location: Houston, TX Type of Position: Temp-to-Hire Responsibilities: Design, draw, and revise component drawings as needed using Inventor and AutoCAD. Generate 2D & 3D designs as parts of assemblies involving various materials. Create assembly and installation drawings for projects or customer orders including BOM. Design with concerns for manufacturability and durability. Originate and/or develop designs for products relating to defined customer needs or proprietary items. Complete thorough documentation of design work. Partner with component suppliers for improved integration results. Manage own work breakdown, tracking and progress reporting. Requirements: High School Diploma/GED minimum; 2‑year degree in Engineering or technical background preferred. 5+ years of experience in an equivalent background. Must be very customer oriented. Strong background with AutoCAD Electrical is a must. Familiar with electrical systems including VFD lineups, switchgear cabinet design, power distribution systems, control/PLC cabinets, and upper‑level e‑houses.
