Computer Operator Direct

Overview


Client is seeking an IT Computer Operator to monitor computer systems, support batch processing, respond to system alerts, and assist internal and global users. This role supports Windows, Linux, Omega OCM / Cloud software, in-house systems, and peripheral software components.



Core Responsibilities

• Monitor and control computer systems across the organization.
• Support batch balancing and load adjustments as required by projects and priorities.
• Monitor Omega OCM / Cloud software, in-house systems, and related peripheral/software components.
• Identify, engage, and resolve system alerts.
• Respond to support calls from internal users, global Omega users, external customers, vendors, and support teams.
• Use commands, programs, and scripts to support system operations.
• Troubleshoot software, hardware, and system issues.
• Document issues, actions taken, and operational updates.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies

• Experience with Windows operating systems.
• Experience with Linux operating systems.
• Ability to use commands, programs, and scripts in an IT operations environment.
• Ability to monitor systems, identify alerts, and support issue resolution.
• Software and hardware troubleshooting skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Communication, reporting, documentation, productivity, and problem-solving skills.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 6 months of related experience, training, or education.

Work Details

• Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
• Ability to regularly stand, crouch, stoop, and walk.
• Ability to push and pull carts and equipment.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
