Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specialized in PACU to provide high-quality perioperative, endoscopy, and recovery care. Must demonstrate proficiency across all specialties to effectively support patient recovery and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ post-anesthesia status and monitor vital signs closely.
• Maintain IV lines and administer medications as per physician orders.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure smooth perioperative and recovery processes.
• Document patient care activities accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare patients for discharge or transfer, ensuring all recovery protocols are met.
• Adhere to facility policies and safety standards at all times.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of recent outpatient PACU experience.
• Proven expertise in perioperative and endoscopy nursing.
• Must be able to effectively start and maintain IV lines.
• Hold an active Vermont or Compact RN license.
• Possess current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred; experience in small critical access facilities advantageous.
