They support community integration and, when applicable, teaches skills related to home responsibilities to maintain health, safety and quality of life in the person’s home or community.Qualifications:Successfully completes the required pre-employment Background and Drug Screenings High School DiplomaMust possess a valid Driver's License with all necessary endorsements and have a minimum of 3 years of driving experience.Proficient with WORD, EXCEL, OUTLOOK and basic computer skills Excellent interpersonal skillsExceptional planning and organizational skillsAbility to remain calm in stressful situationsEffective problem-solving skills Proficiency in the English language (both written and verbal) is required as this job entails direct care of persons receiving services. Employees are required to communicate, both orally and in writing, with staff and others regarding medical care, supports, and services. This requirement includes the ability to effectively communicate in English including medical terminologyEssential Functions Maintains a respectful and professional relationship with residents and all stakeholders Provides residents with building independence in daily routines and life skills Provides help with personal care, community participation, household tasks, and communicationProvide support with light household chores (laundry, cleaning and organizing) Encourages social engagement and participation in meaningful activities Responds to questions or requests for assistance from people receiving servicesIdentifies and reports any suspected abuse or violations of a person receiving services’ rightsProvides support, assistance and supervision to meet the needs and goals of the individuals according to their plansCompletes individualized documentation upon completion of service deliveryPerforms all other duties as assignedHourly: $15.00SR97A11This position will remain open until filled.
