Operations Manager - HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical

Working alongside the General Manager and collaborating closely with the leadership team, you'll play a key role in shaping the operational strategy of the business while leading the day-to-day execution that drives performance, accountability, and growth.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the field organization, including Service Technicians, Installers, Sales & Design Consultants, and the Install Coordination team, ensuring exceptional customer experiences and strong operational performance.
• Partner closely with the General Manager and leadership team to develop and execute operational strategies that support the company's growth objectives.
• Coach, develop, and hold managers and team members accountable to clearly defined performance expectations while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Drive key operational and financial metrics, including revenue, conversion rates, average ticket, technician productivity, maintenance membership growth, install efficiency, close rates, and customer satisfaction.
• Optimize staffing, scheduling, labor utilization, and capacity planning to maximize productivity, efficiency, and daily revenue.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement scalable processes that improve efficiency, consistency, profitability, and the overall customer experience.
• Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, servant leadership, and operational excellence while maintaining high employee engagement.
• Analyze operational performance, identify trends and opportunities, and use data to make informed decisions that improve business results.
• Partner with department leaders to ensure alignment between Sales, Service, Installation, and Install Coordination, creating a seamless customer experience from the initial call through project completion.
• Communicate priorities, expectations, and performance clearly while providing coaching and feedback that develops future leaders.
• Lead through change with confidence, creating structure, consistency, and accountability as the business continues to grow.

Qualifications:

• Proven operational leadership experience within the residential HVAC, Plumbing, or Electrical industry, including at least five (5) years leading teams in a sales-driven organization generating $25 million or more in annual revenue.
• Proven success leading operations in a sales-driven residential home services organization.
• Experience managing Service Technicians, Installers, Sales Consultants, Install Coordinators, or other field operations teams.
• Strong understanding of residential service and installation operations, including workflow management, scheduling, capacity planning, and labor optimization.
• Demonstrated ability to coach leaders, develop high-performing teams, and build a culture of accountability.
• Deep understanding of operational KPIs, including revenue, conversion rates, average ticket, close rates, maintenance membership growth, install efficiency, and technician productivity.
• Experience implementing operational improvements that increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
• Comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while balancing strategic planning with day-to-day operational execution.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence teams and collaborate effectively with senior leadership.
