Registered Nurse PER DIEM $88.00 PER HOUR Job Decription:

- Perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and re-assess as per policy.
- Formulated, prioritizes and documents nursing diagnosis consistent with the assessment data.
- Performs patient care responsibilities considering needs specific to the patient's age.
- Ability to respond to critical situations in a fast paced, busy environment.
- Managing the care of hemodynamically compromised patients.
- Ability to revise a plan of care as indicated by the patient's response to treatment and evaluate overall plan for daily effectiveness.
- Procedural department knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on age of the patient and their clinical condition.
- Ability to perform treatments and provide services according to scope of practice.
- Assist with procedures for ASC and In-Patient population.
- Equipment & Environment: Assemble and Prepare equipment and supplies utilized in the endoscopy suite; troubleshoot and maintain complex equipment like endoscopes, processors, and light sources.
- Documentation: Accurately record procedure details, specimen handling, and medication administration in Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Current license as a Professional Registered Nurse in New York State
- Critical Care experience required
- Endoscopy experience preferred
- PACU experience preferred
- BCLS/ACLS/PALS required
- Bachelors preferred
- Basic Arrhythmia course preferred
- Conscious Sedation Certification preferred
- Ability to stand for long periods, move heavy equipment, and assist with patient positioning.
- Exposure to infectious materials, radiation, and caustic sterilization chemicals.
