Position: Civil / Survey Engineer — Vulcan
Type: Contract
Compensation: $45–$60/hour
Location: Remote
Role Responsibilities
- Develop evaluation tasks from real site, civil, and survey work. Tasks include civil grading plan review , erosion and sediment control plan review , and stormwater design plan review .
- Author tasks and correct answers. Ensure a second reviewer checks them before shipping.
- Review complex engineering documents for alignment with domain principles and methodologies.
- Provide structured feedback to improve AI model performance in the construction and property field.
- Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while enhancing AI model outputs .
Qualifications
Must-Have
- 3+ years in civil engineering, land development, or surveying.
- PE in civil engineering or PLS for survey and mapping work.
- Experience with US standards and state DOT or local land development practices.
Preferred
- 8+ years of experience in the field.
- Experience mentoring EITs or survey crews.

- Hourly contractor
- Paid hourly at $45 to $60 depending on experience.
