Operator 2, Warehouse Operations - Shipping Associate
San Diego, CA | $26.72/hr | 1st Shift: 7:30AM-4PM | Contractor

About the Role
Join a leading warehouse team as an Operator 2, specializing in Shipping Operations. You'll play a key part in processing and preparing outbound orders, maintaining inventory integrity, and ensuring shipments are accurate and timely. This is a hands-on position in a light warehouse setting, ideal for detail-oriented individuals looking to expand their skills in logistics and materials management. In-person interviews required. Drug test mandatory.

Responsibilities

- Accurately pick, verify, and package products for shipment, meeting temperature and handling guidelines
- Process daily outbound orders using automated and manual carrier shipping systems
- Replenish shipping and warehouse supplies to ensure workstations remain fully stocked
- Maintain accurate inventory by performing regular cycle counts and managing records
- Prepare shipping documentation and assist with export and domestic orders
- Deliver materials and components within the warehouse and to production teams as directed
- Inspect received goods, report discrepancies or damage, and apply product labeling as needed
- Keep shipping and warehouse areas organized, clean, and compliant with EH&S standards
- Operate forklifts or company vehicles if required (training provided)
- Participate in safety and compliance training, reporting any concerns or hazardous conditions
- Provide prompt, courteous service to internal and external customers

Required Skills and Experience

- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0-2 years' experience in shipping, receiving, or inventory control (entry-level candidates welcome)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and warehouse management software
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Valid driver's license with good driving record
- Able to lift 20-30 pounds unassisted

Preferred Skills

- Previous experience in a warehouse, shipping, or logistics environment
- Forklift certification
- Experience with automated shipping/carrier systems
