Make a difference in students’ lives while advancing your career as a Special Education Teacher in a full-time, on-site position for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract opportunity is located near Burlington, NC, and welcomes travel candidates from Charlotte, North Carolina. You’ll work with a supportive staff in a dynamic educational environment, providing specialized instruction and fostering academic and social growth for students with diverse needs.
Qualifications:
- Valid North Carolina Special Education Teaching certification (required for consideration)
- Experience in K-12 special education settings preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Familiarity with current special education regulations and best practices
- Dedication to creating an inclusive, positive learning atmosphere
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to meet the needs of students with disabilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with families and support staff
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and performance
- Foster a supportive classroom community that promotes student self-advocacy and growth
- Communicate regularly with parents, administrators, and related service providers
- Utilize technology and adaptive tools to support learning
