Job Opportunity: Headache Program Director - Neurologist

Our organization is actively searching for a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible Neurologist with specialized fellowship training and a keen interest in Headache management. This role will serve as the Headache Program Director within our Neurology Department.

• Provide exceptional patient care focused on the evaluation and management of patients suffering from refractory headaches.
• Oversee and mentor neurology residents and Advanced Practice Professionals (APPs) in their clinical training.
• Engage in teaching opportunities for neurology residents, fellows from various departments, and medical students.
• Participate in research initiatives supported by the MaineHealth Institute for Research, with dedicated time allocated through an academic pathway program.

This primarily outpatient role is located at our facility on the MaineHealth Scarborough Campus, which features on-site MRI and neurodiagnostic laboratories. Inpatient responsibilities are limited to an equitable share of daytime coverage on the neurology consult service, approximately four to five weeks per year. A dedicated team of Neurohospitalists manages hospital admissions, stroke care, and after-hours phone call coverage.

Join a well-established Neurology Department comprising over 35 sub-specialty trained Adult and Pediatric neurologists, Neurohospitalists, and Advanced Practice Professionals. Our clinical and administrative teams are robust, including on-site pharmacists, social workers, neuropsychologists, and psychometricians.
