RN – Developmental Disabilities #26-06828 $50/hour Bronx, NY Registered Nurse (RN) Onsite Day Shift 8 hours/day 5 days/week Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri WCS Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join a well-established social services organization supporting a school serving children with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Job Responsibilities As a valued member of the healthcare team, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Provide triage, first aid, and nursing care to students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR). Ensure compliance with all agency policies, professional nursing standards, and applicable OPWDD, OMH, and DOH regulations. Adhere to HIPAA and all patient confidentiality and privacy requirements. Collaborate effectively with families, school staff, interdisciplinary teams, and outside healthcare providers to coordinate patient care. Promote a safe, supportive, and healthy school environment for all students. Minimum Qualifications Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license. Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with the OPWDD or I/DD population. Pediatric nursing experience required Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
