Registered Nurse - Med/Surg

Location: Missoula, MT

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 07:00-19:30

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients, employing a range of skills to manage complex medical needs. This role requires adaptability, excellent communication, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to assigned patients on the Med/Surg unit.
• Perform NG tube placement and management, Foley catheter placement and management, and chest tube maintenance.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
• Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to care plans.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current RN license in the state of Montana.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience preferred.
• Preferred experience with Cerner EMR and NIHSS certification.
