Supply Chain Coordinator
Area automotive supplier is hiring a Supply Chain Coordinator to work in their fast-paced manufacturing facility. As the Supply Chain Coordinator, you will report to the Assistant Plant Manager and will have the following responsibilities:
- Improve the existing scheduling system
- Communicate daily with sales, production and purchasing on scheduling requirements
- Review and make recommendations to the purchasing plan
- Control and monitor inventory
- Complete cycle counts and schedule monthly inventory
- Drive inventory accuracy while increasing inventory turns
- Troubleshoot scheduling and inventory issues
- Review forecasts and maintain inventory requirements
- Other duties as delegated by the manager
Candidates will be expected to spend up to 20% of their day on the manufacturing floor. The position requires candidates to be motivated to improve the scheduling process and be good with systems, including Microsoft Excel. Candidates should be able to take ownership of projects and have excellent problem solving skills and strong technical capabilities. Requirements for the Supply Chain Coordinator:
1. Bachelor's degree in a related field (supply chain, materials, logistics, operations, etc.) highly preferred; candidates with a high school diploma with at least one year of experience in a similar manufacturing materials position will be considered 2. Experience with inventory management and cycle counts; coursework acceptable 3. Exposure to MRP or ERP systems 4. Microsoft Office, including strong MS Excel skills
Skills preferred but NOT required:
1. Automotive supplier experience 2. Experience working in plastics manufacturing 3. Manufacturing scheduling experience in small batch or changeover environments 4. Experience in a similar manufacturing materials position
