About the company
Our client is an AI data platform built for bank finance teams. A bank's numbers sit in systems that don't agree, so its finance team loses days every month pulling data together and fixing it by hand. Our client's AI cleans and reconciles that data, so the bank has one set of numbers it can trust for reporting, month end close and AI tools.
They're a small team in New York, backed by top tier venture investors. They're already live with paying customers, including a US bank, and a leading industry analyst firm recognized them in 2026.
The role
This is the first sales hire. You'll work directly with the CEO and own regional bank sales from first call to close. There's no SDR and no playbook yet. You'll build the pipeline, run the demos, close the deals, and write the sales motion everyone after you will use.
What you'll do
- Sell to CFOs, controllers, heads of FP&A and data leaders at banks with $10B to $100B in assets
- Build your own pipeline through outbound, your network and industry events
- Run discovery, demos, pricing and negotiation through to close
- Bring what you hear in the market back to the CEO and the product team
- Shape the playbook, messaging and process the next sellers will use
Must haves
- To be considered you must have sold into regional banks with assets ranging from $10B - $100B
- About 5 years closing B2B software deals, with a strong record against quota
- Proven sales into regional banks
- A hunter who wins new logos, not just someone who grows existing accounts
- Comfortable without a big sales team behind you
- Someone who wants to sell. This is a hands on selling role, not a sales leadership role.
Nice to have
- You've sold a data, analytics or AI platform
- You've sold to CFOs, FP&A or data teams
- Early stage or founding AE experience
Comp and logistics
- $150K base plus $150K variable, for $300K OTE
- Remote, anywhere in North America
