Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week available. Every other weekend required. No call requirement. Float to other medical-surgical units as needed based on census.

Highlights:

• Fast-paced orthopedic and neuro spine unit specializing in post-surgical care and pain management
• Patient ratio typically 5-6:1, maximum 7:1 only in extreme circumstances
• Epic EMR system with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
• Contract duration up to 20+ weeks through February 27, 2027
• 36-hour orientation provided with pre-start online modules
• Patient population includes orthopedic, neuro spine, medical-surgical, and post-surgical patients (average daily census: 37)

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of registered nursing experience with orthopedic background required
• Epic EMR experience strongly preferred; first-time travelers must have Epic experience
• Current NC or Compact RN license (pending license acceptable for submission)
• Required certifications: BLS/BCLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Required skills: IV start/maintenance, telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, charge nurse experience, Level I trauma experience
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Ability to float to other medical-surgical units within the facility as needed
• Commitment to work 2 of 3 major holidays; holiday requests off cannot be approved
