Shift/Hours/Location: Monday- Friday, 6am-4:30pm, onsite Moses Lake, WA (variation & OT as necessary)What You Will Be Working OnDaily communication with production team to prioritize maintenance work.Working knowledge in the following trades: Basic HVAC Equipment, process pumps (mag drive and diaphragm pumps), overhead door maintenance, RO/UPW systems, and cooling towers.Perform general duties around the plant including but not limited to, exterior building maintenance, grounds cleanup and maintenance.Provide technical support and resources as necessary to every department in the plant regarding machinery, equipment, and any other facility issues.Develop and implement maintenance activities as listed, preventive maintenance, work order system, critical parts inventory, field equipment inventory, maintenance skill development, predictive maintenance.Write procedures and maintain records of repairs, calibrations, tests, etc.Review and prioritize work orders daily, for repair and maintenance of machinery and mechanical equipment; estimate material requirements and repair and/or replace defective parts as needed; analyze/troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and other operations problems and take corrective action; report all unsafe equipment, machinery, and practices to the Maintenance Supervisor/Department Manager.Maintain inventory, and quality of tools, parts, repair supplies and other materials; obtain quotes for replacement parts and materials and prepare requisitions as needed; fabricate parts not commercially available using hand and machine tools; maintain tools and equipment in good working order.Work toward Operational Excellence through 5S Methodology (Sort, set in order, Shine, Standardize and Sustain the Cycle).Other duties as assigned.QualificationsHigh school Diploma or equivalent required.Working knowledge of computers and MS Office software.Working knowledge of arithmetic and grammar.Demonstrated ability to: Follow written and verbal instructions in English. Manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in order to meet established deadlines. Work as a team and/or independently. Perform tasks with attention to detail and accuracy. Handling and working with hazardous materials and chemical manufacturing equipment is routine. The employee may work in the presence of fumes or airborne particles, hot, toxic, or corrosive chemicals, water, liquids, and electrical equipment. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud. When working in the presence of these hazards, the employee is expected to follow company safety rules and use proper personal protection such as: hardhat, respirator, hearing protection, protective clothing, safety glasses, safety footwear, etc. MLI is an alcohol and drug free workplace. Employees will work in a covered Process Safety Management (PSM) environment containing threshold quantities of flammable liquids and/or gases that have a potential for fire or explosion. Employees working in this environment are required to be free from devices that are not considered intrinsically safe.
