The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely quotes for custom and standard products.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and production to gather necessary information for quotes.
• Analyze customer specifications and drawings to determine manufacturing processes and material requirements.
• Utilize ERP/MRP systems to retrieve cost data and generate pricing.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with customers to secure orders.
• Maintain and update a comprehensive database of pricing, costs, and product information.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement within the quoting process.

Recommended Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in a quoting or estimating role within manufacturing.
• Proven ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong mathematical aptitude and proficiency in calculating costs, margins, and lead times.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for interacting with sales, engineering, and customers.
• Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Demonstrated ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, SAP).
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings or blueprints.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in a second language (especially relevant for international manufacturing).
