About This Role The Ambulatory Care Nurse, Per Diem - Commack will support the coordination, integration, communication, implementation, and evaluation of nursing practice and clinical policies and procedures. This role is ideal for a dedicated nurse looking to provide comprehensive care and participate in quality improvement activities. Highlights Pay: $42.50/hour Location: Commack, NY Facility: NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island Schedule: Per Diem, Day shift What You'll Do Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests Collect patient health history Record information in electronic health record Provide information, counsel, and education to patients and families regarding test results and treatment plans Administer medications, provide comprehensive wound care, and perform patient triage Assess and monitor patient responses to various treatments and procedures Consult with clinical supervisors and licensed providers to determine best treatment plans Direct, supervise, and delegate to licensed practical nurses and medical assistants Participate in site and organizational quality and performance improvement activities Support the coordination and implementation of nursing practice and clinical policies Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing required (Associate Degree may be approved with conditions) Experience: Minimum of 2 years nursing experience in applicable area Licenses & Certifications: Current Registered Nurse License in New York Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association ACLS certification preferred Benefits Comprehensive benefits and wellness package Generous time-off program Access to financial security benefits Holistic employee wellness program focusing on multiple areas of well-being About NYU Langone Health NYU Langone Health is a leading healthcare provider committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
