Ambulatory Care Nurse-Per Diem-Bethpage Multi Specialty Practice *GI Experience Preferred

About This Role The Ambulatory Care Nurse will support the coordination, integration, communication, implementation, and evaluation of nursing practice and clinical policies and procedures in a multi-specialty practice setting. This role is ideal for a nurse with GI experience who is committed to providing comprehensive patient care. Highlights Pay: $42.50/hour Location: Bethpage, NY Facility: NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island Schedule: Per Diem What You\'ll Do Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests. Collect patient health history. Record information in electronic health record. Provide information, counsel, and education to patients and families regarding test results and treatment plans as directed. Administer medications, provide comprehensive wound care, and perform phone and in-person patient triage for clinical concerns. Assess and monitor patient responses to various treatments, procedures, and anesthesia. Consult with clinical supervisors and licensed providers to determine best treatment plans for patients. Direct, supervise, and delegate to licensed practical nurses, medical assistants, and technicians as needed. Support the coordination, integration, communication, implementation, and performance evaluation of nursing practice and clinical policies and procedures. Participate in designated activities related to NYULH clinical standards and regulations of relevant outside agencies. Requirements Education: Bachelor\'s degree in Nursing required (if hired after 9/1/25); Associate Degree in Nursing may be approved contingent upon approval from Nursing Leadership. Experience: Minimum of two years nursing experience in applicable area. Licenses & Certifications: Current Registered Professional Nurse in New York.
