Payroll Administrator

Our client is a trusted utility and energy provider delivering safe, reliable, and sustainable solutions to homes and businesses. The Payroll Administrator supports payroll processes and HR administration to ensure accurate and timely data management and reporting. This is a full time contract position, hybrid, based in Springfield, Virginia, with a pay range of $25.00-$30.00 per hour. Responsibilities Assist with time entry, report generation, and analysis Manage email administration, spreadsheet updates, and reconciliations Communicate with employees and managers regarding payroll tasks Perform data updates, exports, imports, and research discrepancies Create and deliver routine reporting and respond to data requests Support user acceptance testing of HRIS updates and draft requirements Conduct payroll and HR data analysis, including compensation and benefits data Provide data for internal and external audits Serve as the primary contact for payroll functions with outside organizations and internal departments Participate in special projects and company initiatives Coordinate activities with outsourced payroll providers Interact with employees, internal units, government agencies, and auditors Qualifications Proven experience with payroll processes or HR administration, including prior payroll exposure Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience with Workday (heavily preferred) Attention to detail and accuracy in data management Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to establish rapport and work collaboratively Ability to maintain confidentiality and prioritize tasks effectively Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines What the client offers Healthcare coverage Dental insurance 401K plan Employment Enterprises, Inc. is an equal employment opportunity employer.
