Accounts Payable Manager

Carolina PRG is partnering with a growing organization in the Charlotte market to hire an Accounts Payable Manager. This is a hands on leadership role responsible for overseeing the day to day AP function while helping strengthen processes, controls, and systems as the organization continues to grow. The Accounts Payable Manager will lead the AP team and have responsibility for invoice and payment processing, vendor management, reconciliations, reporting, compliance, and process improvement. This person will work closely with Accounting, Finance, and operational teams across the organization. Responsibilities Lead and develop the Accounts Payable team, including training, performance management, and day to day support Oversee invoice processing and payment cycles, including ACH, electronic payments, and checks Oversee W-9 documentation and annual 1099 reporting Research and resolve vendor, invoice, and payment discrepancies Reconcile AP activity to the general ledger and support month end and year end close Monitor AP reporting, aging, payment activity, and other key metrics Maintain AP policies, procedures, documentation, and internal controls Partner with Accounting and operational teams to resolve issues and improve communication across the business Identify opportunities to streamline and automate AP processes Support system implementations, enhancements, and other AP related projects Ensure appropriate controls and segregation of duties are maintained Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 5+ years of accounts payable or related accounting experience 2+ years of experience supervising or managing an AP team Strong understanding of full cycle accounts payable, reconciliations, controls, and payment processing Experience working within an ERP or cloud based accounting system Experience improving AP processes or supporting system implementations is preferred Ability to work across departments and communicate effectively with both internal stakeholders and vendors #J-18808-Ljbffr CAROLINA PRG
