Registered Nurse – Nursing

Schedule: Days 7a-7p

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36

Requirements:

• Current nursing license in the state
• BSN preferred
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
• Immunizations: Varicella 2 doses or titer, HepB 3 doses or titer or declination, MMR 2 doses or titer, Tdap, PPD 2 step or titer within the past 12 months
• Flu shot required during flu season

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform initial age-appropriate nursing assessments and ongoing reassessments.
• Develop and implement plans of care based on patient needs and physician orders.
• Execute nursing actions to achieve patient goals, and communicate with the healthcare team regarding patient care activities.
• Document patient care activities in accordance with established standards and policies.
• Assess patients' responses to medications and provide patient/family education as indicated.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency preparedness activities.

Compliance / Notes:

• Immunizations must be current and unexpired.
• Orientation process includes reporting to Human Resources on day one.
• Agency W-9 and COI for Worker's Compensation and Liability $1M/$3M are required.
• The facility reserves the right to cancel up to three shifts within 12 weeks.
