Weed Wellness Program School Nurse PositionJob Title: School NurseWage: $40.00/hourlyFLSA Status: Non-exemptLocation: Weed Elementary SchoolSupervisor: Executive Director/Program ManagerEmployment Status: Full Time (30 to 40 hours/week). Note: This position aligns with the WeedElementary school year calendar with 4 to 8 weeks unpaid time off in June and/or July whenthe school breaks for : 12 Paid Holidays. 40 Hours Paid Time off per calendar year thereafter (any unusedtime will be paid out in the December 15-December 31st pay period). Mileage reimbursementat the Federal rate of reimbursement when using personal vehicle to travel to and fromworkplace as well as other approved work-related and Range of Responsibility: Provide Nursing Services to include but not limited:hearing and vision screenings supervision of medication administration specializedphysical health care plans health assessments for Individual Education Program (IEP)evaluations Epinephrine auto-injector programs and Naloxone programs provide supportfor HIV/AIDS prevention education programs First Aid and CPR classes assisting indocumentation for required Duties: Includes collecting vital information from patients gathering informationabout health complaints changing wound dressings explaining prescriptions. Must be ableto perform duties and responsibilities that may include: Billing for approved services to Siskiyou County Office of Education MediCalCarelon Behavioral Health or other associated third-party agencies for allowablenursing services reimbursement. Recording and updating patient histories. Discussing health care issues and concerns.
