In this role you will get to work on water or wastewater capital projects in Southern Nevada.What You'll Be Doing:Serve as the Owner's Representative for assigned capital projects, acting as the primary liaison between the Owner, design consultants, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholdersManage and oversee design consultants throughout project planning and design phasesLead design deliverable review processes coordinating multidisciplinary reviews and ensuring consultant submissions meet quality, technical, operational, and regulatory requirementsReview consultant invoices and payment applicationsMonitor and valuate consultant design schedulesReview and analyze project cash flow forecasts to ensure expenditures align with project schedulesPlan, facilitate, and oversee project design meetingsTrack and manage project action items, decisions, and commitmentsCoordinate permit application and approval processesPrepare consultant procurement documents, including scopes of work, request for proposals, request for qualificationsSupport consultant selection processes by participating in proposal evaluations, interviews, negotiations, and contract development activitiesManage project scope, budget, schedule, and risk throughout the design phaseCoordinate with utility operations, maintenance, engineering, environmental, and regulatory personnelFacilitate project delivery readiness and transition to constructionMake staffing assignments in accordance with project needsProvide technical guidance and oversight to Project EngineersMonitor assigned Project Engineers for completed assignments to ensure that they meet required schedules, quality standards, and proceduresWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related fieldRegistration as a Professional Engineer (PE), preferably in the state of Nevada10+ years of experience managing the planning and design of public infrastructure projectsExperience as an Owner's RepresentativeWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:Experience with municipal water and wastewater agenciesSecurity Clearance Requirement:NoneThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.For more than 80 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
