Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Job Description:

This position works in conjunction with nursing staff, residents, families, and other facility departments to provide optimum individualized care for the residents of a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). Shifts include weekends and holidays and may require floating to other units as necessary. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and provide reports on residents' conditions while ensuring understanding of care to be given.
• Conduct rounds on each resident and assess new residents or those who are ill, have fallen, or have sustained an injury.
• Document assessments in accordance with facility policy.
• Notify nursing staff of any changes in residents' conditions or current needs.
• Assist with direct patient care; ensure that call lights are answered promptly.
• Promote good working relationships with other departments, co-workers, residents, families, and physicians.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• MUST have a valid California CNA license.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
