Responsibilities Clinical Activities Direct Ambulatory Nurse‑Midwifery Practice Ambulatory only practice, shared practice type Department specific activities as assigned by the Practice Manager Departmental and Division Meetings Faculty Activities Clinical APP faculty have an expectation of advancement and activities consistent with faculty pursuits standard work. Participation in OB/GYN and Nurse‑Midwifery Grand Rounds, participation in OHSU Nurse‑Midwifery Program activities. Participates in faculty governance; additional engagement based on rank. Other Activities All APPs are expected to support the clinical, education, and research mission of OHSU through routine clinical care that includes working with students, trainees, and patients participating in research, consistent with their role, scope of practice, and applicable contract and institutional policies. The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university's missions and goals of outreach and public service. Required Qualifications Education Instructor: MSN or equivalent Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor: PhD/DNP or equivalent Registrations, Certifications, and Licenses Current RN and APRN licensure with the Oregon Board of Nursing. Current AMCB/ACNM national certification. Current BLS. DEA Certification. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification. Experience 2 years full‑scope midwifery experience in hospital setting preferred. Union Representation This position is represented by the Oregon Nurses Association - Advance Practice United (ONA-APU), subject to the active Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Clinical Reporting Locations OHSU Center for Women's Health Practice Type Ambulatory Hybrid Inpatient. Percentage of Ambulatory Time 100% Annual Faculty Pursuit Hours 156 hours for 0.75 FTE. Working Conditions Frequent Interruptions in an environment of frequent changes and fluctuations May be exposed to excessive auditory and visual stimulation. May require attendance at out-of-town conferences according to School of Nursing travel and reimbursement policies. May be exposed to body fluids, tissue, possible radiation exposure, and infectious processes. Subject to computer work for several hours, as needed. Able to use all appropriate patient‑care equipment and office equipment within work area. Able to self‑regulate for meals and bio breaks. Physical Demands and Equipment Usage Standing: Up to 4 hours per day intermittently. Sitting: Up to 8 hours per day intermittently. Changing Position: Intermittently as needed. Walking: Intermittently up to 4 hours per day on concrete, vinyl, and carpeting. Carrying: Up to 50 pounds (supplies, equipment, books, papers, etc.) intermittently. Lifting: Up to 50 pounds (patients, equipment, supplies, books, etc.) intermittently throughout the day. Pushing/Pulling: Up to 100 pounds intermittently throughout the day. Bending: From the waist and knees frequently throughout the day. Reaching/Handling: Fine manipulation, repetitive, gross motor requiring full ROM in upper extremities, including overhead reaching.
