Description
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients of all ages, employing both standardized assessments and observational methods.
  • Craft tailored treatment strategies targeting immediate objectives and ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
  • Deliver focused, one-on-one speech therapy sessions addressing areas like communication, fluency, and swallowing skills.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, doctors, caregivers, and families to create unified care plans.
  • Provide education and resources to patients and their families to encourage progress beyond the clinical setting.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient assessments and therapy sessions, ensuring a smooth continuum of care.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation as per state, federal, and organizational requirements.
  • Commit to continuous personal growth through education and peer collaboration.
Education
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) in progress if not yet ASHA-certified.
Certifications
  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.

  • In-depth knowledge of evidence-based treatment methodologies for diverse populations, with a keen insight into developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing impairments.
  • Exceptional communication skills when interacting with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

  • Proficiency with electronic medical record systems and documentation practices.
