Pay: $15 - $16Job DescriptionThe Tool Room Clerk plays a critical role in supporting daily operations by managing tooling inventory, issuing equipment, and maintaining accurate records in a fast-paced machine shop environment. This position ensures that machinists and technicians have timely access to calibrated tools and consumables, contributing to efficient production workflows and compliance with safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesGood basic math skills (addition & subtraction)Be on time to work every dayHave mechanical skills or aptitudeWilling and able to fill out basic production paperwork by hand – part number, quantityBe able to lift 50-75 lbsStand, walk, sit, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, reach and perform repetitive hand and finger movementsBe able to work in cold or hot temperatures in plant, smoking is allowed in most production areas.Be interested in learning a new skillBe willing to work where personal cell phone use is not permittedRequirements for higher starting wage:Experience using multiple power tools like impact driver, rivnut gun, rivet gun, stud welder, grinder, sanderExperience in light gauge sheet metal fabricating or machine shopBe able to read a tape measure and/or precision measuring toolsThey'd be working in one or more of these areas. We will probably train a worker in several areas to see where they catch on.
