Senior Software Engineer

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Senior Software Engineer - ETL, Ab Initio, PySpark and Python.

Position type: Full-time, Contract (W2)
Duration: 12 Months Contract w/ extension.
Location: Charlotte, NC - 3 days onsite/ 2 day remote

Overview: Client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - ETL, Ab Initio, PySpark and Python to join our team on a contingent resource assignment. This role involves consulting on moderately complex software engineering initiatives, analyzing challenges, and contributing to large-scale deliverables. The engineer will play a key role in supporting and modernizing ETL applications, migrating workloads from Ab Initio to PySpark, and leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and solution delivery.

As a Senior Software Engineer - ETL, Ab Initio, PySpark and Python, you will:

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance existing ETL workflows.
• Provide incident management and root cause analysis to ensure timely resolution.
• Analyze, design, develop, test, and deploy ETL solutions using Ab Initio, PySpark, and Python.
• Lead the migration of ETL jobs and data pipelines from Ab Initio to PySpark.
• Work closely with business and technology teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Use tools like GitHub Copilot and Microsoft Copilot to support code generation, refactoring, testing, and documentation.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to iterative development cycles.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Hands-on skills in ETL development and data integration with Ab Initio, PySpark, Python, and Oracle Database.
• Ability to analyze complex issues, provide production support, and drive resolution.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot) to accelerate modernization efforts.
• Experience with CI/CD, version control, and automated testing methodologies.
• Exposure to cloud-based data platforms and modern data engineering practices.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and present solutions effectively.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $50- $55 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
