About the Role:
Sorrento Landscape Inc is looking for an Experienced Gardener to join our growing team in beautiful San Diego, CA! If you have a passion for plants, a keen eye for detail, and take pride in creating stunning outdoor spaces, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine garden maintenance including planting, pruning, trimming, and weeding
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as mowers, edgers, and blowers
- Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides in accordance with safety guidelines
- Monitor plant health and identify signs of disease, pests, or nutrient deficiencies
- Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper water management
- Prepare and amend soil for planting beds and seasonal installations
- Communicate with clients and team leads regarding project progress and site conditions
Requirements:
- 2+ years of professional gardening or landscaping experience
- Knowledge of plants, shrubs, trees, and turf common to Southern California
- Experience with irrigation systems and basic troubleshooting
- Ability to safely operate landscaping tools and equipment
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical labor
- Strong attention to detail and a pride in delivering quality work
