HVAC Service Technician Job Summary We are seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to install, diagnose, repair, and maintain residential HVAC systems. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality service while ensuring customer satisfaction, maintaining safety standards, and accurately documenting service work. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, install, and maintain residential HVAC systems, including air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, and related equipment. Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections to ensure optimal equipment performance. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and recommend appropriate repair solutions. Prepare accurate repair estimates and clearly explain findings and recommendations to customers. Ensure all work complies with applicable HVAC codes, safety regulations, and industry standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment at customer locations. Complete service reports, work orders, and other required documentation accurately and on time. Maintain and safely operate company tools, equipment, and service vehicles. Build positive relationships with customers by providing professional, courteous, and knowledgeable service. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient project completion and customer satisfaction. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or completion of a trade or technical program in HVAC or a related field. 3+ years of residential HVAC service or maintenance experience. EPA Certification required. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including heat pumps, gas furnaces, air conditioning units, and ventilation systems. Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical HVAC issues. Familiarity with local HVAC codes and safety regulations. Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills. Basic computer skills with the ability to use tablets, laptops, or mobile applications for service documentation. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Bilingual skills are a plus.
