Job Description

The technician will specialize in diagnosing and repairing a variety of electronic devices including game consoles, CPUs, cellphones, tablets, laptops, and Chromebooks. This role involves detailed micro-soldering and board-level repairs alongside traditional fixes such as screen and battery replacements. Clear and honest communication with customers about repair needs and estimates is essential.

Responsibilities

Diagnose issues in game consoles, smartphones, tablets, and other mixed devices
Perform screen replacements and battery swaps
Repair charging ports, HDMIs and recover devices from water damage
Conduct data transfers and ensure data integrity
Execute micro-soldering and board-level repairs with precision
Provide clear, honest repair estimates and explain technical details in plain language
Maintain direct communication with customers throughout the repair process

Required Qualifications

3+ years of experience in electronics repair
Proficiency in micro-soldering and board-level repair techniques
Strong skills in circuit analysis and device diagnostics
Experience with data transfer methods
Excellent customer service and technical communication abilities
Effective problem-solving skills

\nCompany Description

Wynn's Repair Shop is a repair shop on Main Street in Dunedin. We fix phones, tablets, laptops, and game consoles for our neighbors, and we do it the honest way. Free diagnostics, a straight answer about what is wrong, and a real price before we touch anything. We also run a mail-in repair service and handle bulk device repair for local businesses and schools.
We are a small team. The person we hire will have their hands on every part of the business and will talk to customers directly, not hide in a back room.
