Associate Director of Construction & Contractor Safety

Associate Director of Construction & Contractor Safety role managing environment, health, and safety programs across construction and contractor operations. Responsible for developing and implementing EHS initiatives, conducting incident investigations, and driving continuous improvement to minimize risk and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction contractor safety programs, tools, training, and regulatory compliance efforts
• Lead incident investigations, near-miss analyses, and document lessons learned for organizational sharing
• Develop and sustain EHS systems, processes, and programs through cross-functional partnerships
• Implement automated tools and technologies for safety compliance, analysis, and continuous improvement
• Provide visible field leadership, coaching, and reinforcement of safety best practices on active jobsites

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in EHS or Engineering plus 10+ years EHS experience, or Master's degree plus 8-10 years
• EHS experience in manufacturing or R&D environments required
• Experience implementing EHS regulations and conducting incident investigations
• Cross-functional team management and project management experience
• Ability to present EHS KPIs and metrics to senior leadership
• EHS Professional certification preferred; construction or project management certifications advantageous
• Experience with major construction projects and Greenfield sites preferred
