CNC Mill Machinist

Job Description Job Description Job type: Full Time Length of Assignment: Temp-to-Hire Schedule: 2nd shift Industry: Aerospace and Defense Manufacturing Location: Chatsworth, CA About the Role We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machinery, running and testing part programs, inspecting finished products, and supporting continuous improvement efforts. The ideal candidate is technically skilled, detail-oriented, and comfortable collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams. What You'll Do Set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision metal components. Load, test, and run CNC part programs and make machine adjustments as needed. Read and interpret engineering blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings. Work with both standard and metric measurements and convert between the two. Use machinist tools and precision measuring instruments to verify part dimensions and quality. Apply knowledge of machine shop theory, shop math, material machinability, and layout techniques. Monitor machining operations and troubleshoot issues to maintain quality and production. Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to identify opportunities for process improvement. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Support mechanical assembly activities as needed. What We're Looking For 5+ years of CNC machine operation experience High School Diploma or GED CNC Mill setup and operation experience Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills Ability to perform shop math and use a calculator Experience with precision measuring tools and machinist instruments Strong understanding of machining processes and materials Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with engineering and manufacturing teams Machinist/Machine Tool Technology certification preferred 1–2 years of mechanical assembly experience preferred Must possess a complete set of machinist tools and measuring instruments If you have the CNC experience and technical skills we’re looking for, APPLY TODAY! \nCompany Description We're not just a staffing company - we're a people company.
