The technician is responsible for servicing and installing a wide range of low?voltage fire alarm systems and related components. All work must be performed efficiently, professionally, and in compliance with applicable codes and company standards.$3,000 Sign-On-Bonus based on experience!!!Job ResponsibilitiesService, install, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of low?voltage fire alarm systems in accordance with NFPA 72, as well as state and local requirements.Meet weekly productivity goals established by the Fire Alarm Service Manager.Complete administrative tasks including service acknowledgements, NFPA record?of?completion documents, and other NFPA 72 documentations.Learn applicable fire protection codes and obtain required state licensing.Protect, maintain, and properly use company?issued tools and equipment.Follow all company safety procedures, including safe driving practices, PPE requirements, and lockout/tag?out policies.Maintain a clean, organized, and well?stocked service vehicle in accordance with company standards.Perform additional duties as assigned by the Fire Alarm Service Manager.Job QualificationsMassachusetts Class D or Journeyman License required.Fire alarm experience required; with working knowledge of NFPA 72.Strong understanding of wiring, circuits, and electrical components.Experience in bending and installing conduit is preferred.Ability to participate in an on?call rotation.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets company requirements.Basic computer skills, including proficiency with iPhone/iPad applications.Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required.
