As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and respond to security-related concerns. Your visible presence and professional communication will help to deter incidents while supporting a welcoming experience for employees, visitors, and drivers. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $18.73 / Hour Must be 21+ years of age Job Schedule: Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You'll Do Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location. Monitor and control access to the facility, including verifying employee, visitor, contractor, and delivery driver credentials in accordance with site requirements. Maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and delivery records; issue and collect access credentials as authorized; and communicate access concerns to site leadership. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including unauthorized access attempts, delivery disputes, and operational disruptions. Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Minimum Requirements Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED. Be at least 21 years of age. Preferred ability to lift up to 20 pounds. Loss prevention experience is preferred. Alarm panel experience is preferred. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
