About Us

Our mission is simple: to elevate patient health through compassionate, innovative cardiology care. With specialty clinics in Heart Failure, Vascular, Electrophysiology & Device, and Imaging, we're building the future of cardiovascular medicine—one heartbeat at a time.

Why You'll Love Working With Us

  • Predictable Monday–Friday schedule (no weekends or holidays)
  • Work directly with a team of cardiologists, RNs, and clinical staff
  • Hands-on experience with cardiac monitoring technology and equipment
  • Ongoing opportunities for professional development and continuing education
  • Tuition assistance to support your career growth
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including:
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Paid vacation, holidays, and floating holidays
  • Mental health resources and employee wellness programs

About the Role

As a Cardiac Monitoring Technician – Patient Services & Device Support, you'll support patients throughout the cardiac monitoring process while helping ensure our cardiac monitoring services run smoothly and efficiently.

This is a hands-on, patient-facing role with a strong focus on patient education, device enrollment and setup, scheduling, equipment management, documentation, and clinical workflow support. You'll help patients understand how to use their monitoring equipment, coordinate devices and appointments, and provide support throughout the monitoring process.

The role also requires knowledge of cardiac monitoring equipment, ECG fundamentals, and cardiac rhythms. You'll build on these skills as part of your development in the Monitor Technician role, including working toward CRAT certification within two years of employment.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Patient Care & Education

  • Welcome and interact with patients throughout the cardiac monitoring process
  • Educate patients on the use, care, and troubleshooting of cardiac monitoring equipment
  • Provide clear instructions and answer patient questions regarding their monitoring experience
  • Help create a positive, professional, and supportive patient experience
  • Communicate clearly with patients and clinical staff throughout the monitoring process

Cardiac Monitoring & Device Support

  • Enroll and register patients for cardiac monitoring services
  • Set up, distribute, and retrieve cardiac monitoring devices
  • Assist with Holter, event, and other cardiac monitoring equipment as applicable
  • Ensure patients receive appropriate instructions for use and care of their equipment
  • Maintain, track, clean, and organize monitoring equipment and inventory
  • Process returned equipment and ensure devices are ready for future use
  • Perform ECGs and other technical duties as assigned
  • Support monitor data processing, scanning, editing, and report preparation as applicable to the assigned workflow

Department Coordination & Administrative Support

  • Coordinate device placement, return, and follow-up activities
  • Communicate with providers and clinical staff regarding patient and monitoring needs
  • Support department workflows and day-to-day operations
  • Assist with documentation, recordkeeping, and other administrative tasks as needed

Clinical & Technical Support

  • Apply knowledge of ECG fundamentals and cardiac monitoring equipment to assigned responsibilities
  • Recognize cardiac rhythms within the scope of training and assigned responsibilities
  • Follow established procedures for cardiac monitoring equipment and workflows
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
  • Assist with equipment and workflow education for staff as needed
  • Support clinic operations across assigned locations when needed

What You'll Need to Succeed

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least six months of relevant healthcare, patient services, clinical support, medical device, cardiac monitoring, or related experience/training
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to effectively educate and interact with patients
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy clinical environment
  • Current BLS certification
  • CRAT certification required within two years of employment

Preferred:

  • Prior device technician, monitor technician, or telemetry training
  • Previous cardiology, electrophysiology, or cardiac device experience
  • Experience working with ECG or cardiac monitoring equipment
  • Previous patient-facing healthcare experience
  • Experience with electronic medical records and clinical documentation

What This Role Is Really About

This position combines patient services, clinical support, cardiac monitoring technology, and department coordination.

A significant part of your day will be spent working directly with patients, educating them on their monitors, coordinating devices, managing equipment, completing documentation, and supporting the overall cardiac monitoring workflow.

The role requires a strong foundation in ECG recognition, cardiac monitoring, and rhythm fundamentals, along with the ability to develop and maintain the knowledge required for CRAT certification within two years of employment. While these technical skills are an important part of the Monitor Technician role, the primary day-to-day focus of this position is patient and device support rather than continuous telemetry monitoring or independent cardiac rhythm analysis.

This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys the combination of patient interaction, hands-on technology, organization, clinical support, and cardiology.

Work Environment

Location: Puyallup, WA

  • Outpatient cardiology clinic setting
  • In-office position with regular patient interaction
  • Collaborative team of cardiologists, RNs, and clinical staff
  • Regular use of cardiac monitoring equipment and electronic medical records

Schedule:

Four 10-hour shifts - No weekends or holidays.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) with employer match
