Robert Half is partnering with a growing professional services and advisory organization to identify a Junior Accountant for a contract-to-permanent opportunity in Las Vegas. This role offers excellent exposure to a wide range of accounting functions, including accounts payable, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting support. The organization continues to expand through acquisitions and operational growth, making this an excellent opportunity for a Junior Accountant who enjoys learning, taking initiative, and growing within a dynamic environment. The ideal Junior Accountant will be recent graduate or an Accountant with 1-3 years of experience. Duties will include operational accounting (Accounts payable) in additional to close responsibilities, lease accounting, and more. This is an on-site position in Henderson, Nevada.

Responsibilities for the Junior Accountant:

• Process vendor invoices and support accounts payable activities
• Review, code, and reconcile corporate credit card transactions
• Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations
• Prepare journal entries and support month-end close activities
• Maintain prepaid expense and lease accounting schedules
• Assist with employee expense reporting and documentation review
• Organize accounting records and support audit requests
• Partner with accounting and operational teams to ensure accurate financial information
• Assist with process improvement initiatives and system-related projects
• Support additional accounting functions as assigned

In this role, you will receive broad accounting exposure beyond traditional AP responsibilities, the opportunity to learn month-end close processes, and the financial reporting processes. You will be exposed to business growth infinitives, acquisitions and technology enhancements that will provide a return on manual processes.

• 1-3 years of accounting experience, or recent completion of an accounting degree with strong foundational knowledge.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas for analysis and reconciliation work.

• Experience with accounting platforms such as Acumatica or similar ERP systems is an advantage.

• Ability to adapt quickly, work independently after training, and take initiative in a changing environment.

• Strong attention to detail, sound organizational skills, and a willingness to grow with an expanding accounting team.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced and ever-changing environment.
