Precision Tooling Jig & Fixture Fabricator

Picture your day: you open a new customer print, study the specs and quality notes, then translate that intent into a precise build. You lay out reference points and tooling holes with straightedges and metrology tools, validate dimensions, and bring the design to life. When a legacy tool comes back for rework, you diagnose, repair, and return it to service—often crafting quick fabrication sketches to communicate an approach. When needed, you move seamlessly to the machines: a lathe cut here, a pass on the Bridgeport mill there, a quick touch on the grinder to finish.

• Execute jig and fixture builds from customer prints, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Establish and coordinate reference points and tooling holes using straightedges and precision measuring equipment.
• Repair and rework existing tools and fixtures as needed.
• Prepare clear fabrication sketches when required to support the build.
• Operate machine tools—lathes, Bridgeport mills, and grinders—when the job calls for it.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience building precision jigs and fixtures.
• Fluent blueprint interpretation, including GD&T and the ability to read 3D CAD models.
• Strong proficiency with precision measurement and hand metrology tools.
• Manual machining background (mills, lathes, grinders) preferred.
• Solid math fundamentals and clear communication skills.
