Position Overview

Responsibilities Include

• Conducting a range of ultrasound exams, including but not limited to abdominal, obstetrical, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Upholding patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process while clearly explaining each procedural step
• Collaborating effectively with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure accurate diagnostic imaging
• Operating and maintaining ultrasound equipment, promptly addressing any technical issues
• Documenting procedures accurately and managing patient records in the electronic medical record system
• Participating in continuous learning to remain abreast of innovations in ultrasound technology and best practices

Education and Credentials Required

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related discipline
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred

Required Certifications

• Current certification with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent body
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred
