Senior Design Engineer

To drive innovation in optical connectivity solutions, the full-time Senior Design Engineer will design new products, implement cost reductions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams onsite in East Syracuse, NY. Key responsibilities: Develop next-generation optical connectivity solutions for broadband networks, ensuring compliance with market and margin goals Lead design, value engineering, and cost-optimization efforts for fiber optic cables and components while maintaining performance standards Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and act as the primary engineering contact for Product Management and Quality Assurance Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering with five years of design experience in a related field Experience with fiber optic cables, connectors, and interconnect products Knowledge of high-speed manufacturing equipment and capabilities Proficiency in SolidWorks or other 3D CAD platforms Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
