Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist to promote patient mobility, strength, and functional performance.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and functional training sessions which may include stretching, resistance training, and balance exercises tailored to patient needs.
• Utilize modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and cryotherapy in accordance with treatment protocols to relieve pain and expedite recovery.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously and maintain accurate records of treatments and responses, ensuring compliance with clinic policies and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate effectively with the Physical Therapist, regularly consulting to adjust treatment strategies based on real-time patient feedback and outcomes.
• Provide education to patients regarding their home exercise programs, proper body mechanics, and strategies for preventing further injuries.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and developments, contributing insights to improve interdisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• An active and valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of Virginia is mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits
