Key Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and functional activities as outlined in patient treatment plans developed by Physical Therapists.
• Effectively apply modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and cryotherapy to enhance pain management and support recovery processes.
• Continuously monitor, record, and report on patients' progress and their responses to ongoing treatment plans, ensuring adherence to clinic standards.
• Collaborate with the Physical Therapy team and other allied health professionals to optimize treatment strategies and patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about effective home exercise programs and self-management techniques for sustained recovery.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational protocols.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, chronic pain conditions, and neurological impairments. You will engage with a diverse group of patients, ranging from athletes to senior individuals, all with unique rehabilitation needs. The goal is to design individualized treatment approaches that foster their journey toward regaining independence and achieving their personal health goals.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of Virginia.
• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, demonstrating a solid foundation in principles of physical therapy.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a clinical setting, preferably within an orthopedic outpatient or rehabilitation environment.

Preferred Experience

• Prior exposure to a hospital setting, including familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, is highly advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
