** Field Superintendent - Timber Wolf Excavating **

** Position Overview **

We're seeking an experienced Field Superintendent to oversee multiple excavation and site development projects from start to finish. This senior leadership position requires exceptional organizational skills, technical expertise, and the ability to manage crews, schedules, and client relationships while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

** Key Responsibilities **

• Oversee and manage multiple excavation projects simultaneously
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate all field operations and activities
• Supervise foremen and field crews, providing leadership and guidance
• Review project plans, specifications, and contracts to ensure complete understanding of scope
• Develop and maintain project schedules and coordinate with project managers
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality standards and safety compliance
• Serve as primary on-site contact for clients, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors
• Monitor project budgets, track costs, and identify potential cost savings
• Ensure all work complies with OSHA regulations, local codes, and company safety policies
• Lead weekly safety meetings and enforce safety protocols on all job sites
• Manage equipment allocation and logistics across multiple projects
• Resolve conflicts and problems in the field quickly and effectively
• Review and approve daily reports, timecards, and material requisitions
• Coordinate material deliveries and manage inventory
• Mentor and develop foremen and crew members

** Qualifications **

• 7+ years of experience in excavation, grading, or heavy civil construction
• 3+ years in a superintendent or senior supervisory role
• Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Expert knowledge of excavation methods, grading, utilities, and site development
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts
• Thorough understanding of OSHA regulations and safety management
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proficient with project management software and scheduling tools
• Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• CDL license preferred
• OSHA 30-hour certification preferred (or ability to obtain within 60 days)
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred

This position requires regular site visits involving walking on uneven terrain, climbing, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and spend extended periods standing and walking
