Construction Assistant Project Manager

We are seeking a motivated Construction Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of construction projects from pre-construction through completion. Working closely with project managers, site teams, contractors, consultants, and clients, you will help coordinate activities, maintain project records, and ensure work progresses safely, on schedule, and within budget. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented construction professional looking to develop their project management experience across a range of projects.


Key responsibilities will include assisting with project planning, programming, procurement, and cost tracking; preparing progress reports, meeting minutes, schedules, and project documentation; monitoring subcontractor performance and site progress; and supporting the review of drawings, specifications, change orders, payment applications, and contract correspondence. You will attend site and coordination meetings, follow up on actions, help identify and resolve issues, and maintain effective communication between all project stakeholders. The role will also involve supporting quality assurance, health and safety compliance, risk management, commissioning, and project close-out activities.


Applicants should have experience in construction, project coordination, or a related field, ideally gained within a contractor, consultancy, or client-side environment. A degree, diploma, or relevant professional qualification in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or a similar discipline is desirable. You should be confident reading construction drawings and schedules, using Microsoft Office and project management systems, and working with budgets and documentation. Strong organisational, communication, problem-solving, and prioritisation skills are essential, together with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. A proactive approach, commercial awareness, attention to detail, and a commitment to safe, high-quality delivery will be highly valued.
