About the Role We are looking for a driven and curious Business Development Representative to help grow Caelon’s customer base across private-market investment teams. You will research target firms, engage investment professionals and firm leaders, generate sales-qualified opportunities, and help convert strong prospects into paid pilots. You will work side by side with Caelon’s founders to design revenue-generating experiments that help us reach and engage prospective clients. This role is ideal for someone who communicates well, learns quickly, and enjoys testing new sales approaches from end to end. You will help test new messaging and channels, refine our targeting, and build Caelon’s early sales process. We are open to new ideas, and we believe the only true failure is not trying or failing to learn from an experiment. This is a paid, in-person position. The anticipated start date is as soon as possible, and the role requires working from our office at Horizon Hall, GMU, located at 4475 Aquia Creek Lane, Fairfax, VA 22030. What You’ll Do Research and engage high-potential investment firms, investment teams, and senior decision-makers. Generate qualified opportunities through creative, multichannel outreach. Personalize messaging, qualify prospects, and help convert them into paid pilots. Work alongside Caelon’s founders to design and execute revenue-generating experiments. Run sales experiments from end to end, track results, and refine targeting and messaging. Learn Caelon’s platform and clearly communicate its business and technical value. Maintain accurate CRM records and help build a repeatable sales process. Minimum Qualifications Self-starter with strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Creative thinker who is willing to learn, experiment, and adapt. Ability to understand technical concepts and explain them in ways that match customers’ needs. Interest in finance and private-market investing. Comfortable taking ownership of experiments from initial ideas through execution and analysis. Experience leading a team of any size or in any capacity, with the ability to reflect on lessons learned from both mistakes and successes. Collaborative team player. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated excellence or exceptional achievement in a field or role, such as athletics, academics, research, entrepreneurship, or leadership. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. One or more years of sales experience or experience working at a high-growth startup. Familiarity with artificial intelligence tools and emerging technologies. Experience using CRM systems and generating sales pipelines. #J-18808-Ljbffr
