NYC Housekeeper

Discreet, high-profile family seeks an experienced Housekeeper to join an established housekeeping team within a fully staffed New York residence. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in UHNW and/or private households and possess a strong understanding of luxury home care, discretion, and private service standards.

This role requires a highly organized, proactive, and team-oriented individual who communicates clearly, works independently, and maintains exceptional standards throughout the residence. Responsibilities include detailed housekeeping, laundry and wardrobe care, light food preparation, occasional service support, and maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of multiple nearby properties.

This is a full-time position based in New York City with a rotating schedule structure and occasional flexibility required for evenings, weekends, and limited Hamptons support during busy summer periods. This is a long-term opportunity within a collaborative and well-established household team environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Perform detailed daily housekeeping and deep cleaning of all residences to the highest standards
• Care for fine furnishings, delicate finishes, specialty materials, artwork, antiques, and luxury household items using proper cleaning techniques and products.
• Handle expert-level laundry, ironing, steaming, folding, wardrobe care, and closet organization.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness throughout all household spaces, guest areas, storage spaces, and wardrobes
• Move fluidly between multiple nearby properties based on guest occupancy, household activity, and operational needs
• Provide light food preparation including washing greens, preparing juices, yogurt preparation, boiling eggs, and assisting the chef as needed
• Assist with background service during dinners, entertaining, and household events as requested
• Communicate consistently with management and household team regarding household activity, scheduling changes, and operational updates throughout the day
• Identify household issues proactively and communicate solutions or recommendations when appropriate
• Maintain inventory of household supplies, linens, cleaning products, and related household items
• Coordinate smoothly and professionally with household staff, managers, vendors, and service providers
• Maintain discretion, confidentiality, and a minimal household footprint at all times
• Additional housekeeping responsibilities as needed and requested by the principals or management team

Requirements:

• Minimum 3–5+ years of experience working within UHNW, celebrity, or fully staffed private household environments preferred
• Excellent references required from both current and previous employers
• Exceptional communication skills with strong responsiveness, follow-through, and professionalism REQUIRED
• Strong experience caring for fine furnishings, delicate finishes, artwork, antiques, luxury surfaces, and specialty materials
• Expert-level laundry, ironing, steaming, garment care, and wardrobe maintenance experience REQUIRED
• Strong understanding of proper cleaning products, fabric care, and housekeeping techniques for luxury residences.
• Highly collaborative, team-oriented, and comfortable working within a close-knit household environment
• Discreet, respectful, polished, and emotionally intelligent demeanor at all times.
• Ability to work independently, problem solve proactively, and manage responsibilities with minimal oversight
• Flexible scheduling mindset with willingness to adapt to rotating schedules, occasional evenings, weekends, and limited seasonal Hamptons support
• Comfortable operating within both formal service and relaxed family-style household environments
• No-fragrance policy adherence required while working within the residence
• Comfortable around dogs and active household environments
• Strong command of English language required
• Authorized to work within the United States

Compensation:$40 - $45 Hourly + Benefits
