Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications:

• Valid LBS1 certification required
• Experience working as a Special Education Teacher, particularly within a middle school environment, preferred
• Strong commitment to supporting students with significant or complex needs
• Exceptional communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to a small group of middle schoolers with high support needs
• Develop, implement, and regularly update IEPs tailored to each student’s strengths and challenges
• Collaborate closely with other educators, support staff, and families to maximize student outcomes
• Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment that fosters growth and independence
• Track and report student progress, making data-driven adjustments as needed
• Participate in meetings, staff development, and training as required
