Business Development Representative (BDR)

The Business Development Representative (BDR) will play a crucial role in expanding our customer base, driving sales growth, and enhancing digital adoption. With a portfolio of customer accounts, the BDR will be responsible for nurturing existing relationships, identifying new business opportunities, achieving sales targets through strategic account management and engagement, and promoting the use of our customer-facing digital tools.

Essential Duties/Accountabilities:

• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
• Actively manage and grow assigned customer accounts, including increasing the adoption of our digital tools for ordering.
• Educate customers on the benefits of utilizing East Coast Metal Distributors' digital commerce platforms.
• Assist customers with placing online orders, troubleshooting issues, and promoting a seamless digital experience.
• Manage digital issues that may occur in assigned customer portfolio.
• Analyze market trends and customer needs to position East Coast Metal Distributors effectively.
• Ensure a balanced sales mix of HVAC equipment, parts, and supplies.
• Work collaboratively to identify and grow opportunities in revenue and margin enhancement.
• Report on sales activity and forecast to senior management.
• Achieve and maintain a high level of customer account digital engagement.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
• Utilize our CRM tool to manage and grow assigned customer accounts effectively, keep detailed records of sales activities, and track customer interactions.
• Leverage analytics tools to analyze sales data and identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

• Strong interest in sales, with the drive and motivation to meet and exceed targets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with clients.
• Comfort with technology and the ability to quickly learn new software, including proficiency in Salesforce CRM or the willingness to learn.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and insights to inform sales strategies.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed goals.
• Energetic and enthusiastic demeanor, with a strong commitment to customer service excellence.
• Experience in HVAC or related industry is a plus.
• BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is a plus.
